Business, Culture & Leadership Insights

Be what others can see
As adults, we are often encouraged through work to seek out personal development, to get involved, to collaborate. What would it be like for you now if these opportunities were provided to you as a young adolescent? As a teenager when you were going through so much change or even as a school leaver still not certain of what you want to be or where you want to go?
“E” holds the key to your success
Who would have thought that the Letter between “D” and “F” would determine your success in life and in business and yet that very letter do all of that depending on what you make of it!
Delivering Success
High-performing teams impact the value of the business itself, it impacts stock prices, IPO outcomes, and how investors look at it as a business. Success can be seen through its productivity and of course through its culture. How is it that some businesses can get it right and others fall short?
7 tips to start your own business
Deep down we all long to do something for ourselves. We have passion, a vision to be more or to do more. However, we often hold back so, as the world has come to a somewhat state of stagnation, why not take control back into your hands?
Don't just survive – succeed!
Whilst others pursue the path to become more resilient, think about what you want. Do you want to survive and have learnt from it, or do you want to learn and strengthen from it?
Antifragility and second-order consequences
We all know that what tomorrow looks like will be a result of what we have done today. Don’t play the short term game, look at what can happen well beyond our lifecycle and create the path for that.
Creating a psychologically safe workplace
In order to develop high-performing teams, you need your people to trust you. Only in a psychologically safe environment will they be able to start thinking bigger, limitlessly even and to be fully part of the journey.
Why the meaning of purpose is so important
I advise businesses and leaders across industries all around the world and, no matter what I am engaged for, I always start with defining “Purpose” and “Values”. Here I share my approach to enable you to form the framework that will deliver the greatest impact for you and your purpose.
Overcoming self-doubt
Self-Doubt is not about gender, it is not about qualifications or IQ, and it is not about money. It is about your belief system and the tools you use to get you where you want to be.
From Dreams to Impact
How can you transform your dreams into the life you deserve while creating the impact you want to see in the world?
How do you take what you feel in your belly, together with the images and words that float in your head and create the impact you are want to make?
How to Develop High-Performing Teams
Resilience, while talked about a lot, is not enough to lead us into our new world; we need to build strength from what we have learned and put these lessons into practice. Becoming antifragile is about learning from changes and becoming stronger, as opposed to simply coping with changes.
Developing leaders today to shape a better tomorrow
Leaders today are scrambling to identify ways to balance and support their teams as they navigate their way forward. While some people have thrived with the changes, others have struggled which created news complexities that need to be considered. Unfortunately, few people have been trained in this space which makes them uncertain of what steps to take.
Don’t base your life on your 18-year-old safe.
Our values, our needs, and what we want for ourselves change as we go through life. The world as we knew it as an 18-year-old leaving school has shifted. What you are searching for today will inevitably differ from what you were contemplating then.
So many people are great at what they do but yet aren’t fulfilled by what they do. This sinking feeling keeps creeping in and whilst they set new goals, they still question whether they have made the right choices or not.
Numbers on the Runway
Until today nobody has had the courage to make Budgets and Cashflows look sexy, I am here to change that!
Yes, this is a red carpet event! I am going to bring Numbers to the Catwalk and show you how easy it actually is.
When it comes to numbers, knowledge is power
So many people find themselves feeling trapped and I find money is often part of the story. So, if that is how you feel, know that you are not alone.
This is not a topic often spoken about because nobody wants to admit that they want more or that they fear that they may lose what they have or fall short. At the end of the day, we all want security – for ourselves and for our family. This is why I want to create that independence for you.
What is your definition of success
We all strive for success no matter what stage we are at in life. Establishing goals is a great way to set out your success plan. Small measured steps enable you to celebrate each milestone as you go, however, one key thing to note is that success can mean something different to everyone and that is perfect because your journey is about YO
A true mentor listens to understand
For as long as I can remember –we are taught to listen so that we can respond. We are asked to place our hand up and answer a question or share what we believe we have been asked to interpret in the discussion we are involved in.
We often assume that people are asking us to solve something for them when they share their story/ their problem – but most of the time, they just want to be heard.
The Rush to Succeed
There is no rush to succeed, there is no need to compare, there is no need to tell yourself you are not good enough, or smart enough, or anything really, other than you can and you will. When you dig deep, you know what makes you spark when you wake up, crystalising that will enable you to begin your journey to living the life that you deserve.
Managing it all
All too often we think we need to stay on top of everything ourselves, especially when we are in business. The reality is that nobody does that – not even those who are great at time management. Managing it all is not about constantly doing things, even though the outside world may see it that way. I call it setting clear objectives that are achievable but still stretch you.
A mentor unravels the grand pianist in you.
A piano teacher sits patiently by your side and helps navigate the steps you need to take, reading notes, understanding them, and guiding where to position your hand so that your fingers can find the keys. So too will a good Mentor – a good Business advisor.
