Courage, Disappointment, Expectations, and Leadership
Leadership at times may feel lonely and expectations may not always be aligned, but the one thing that is constant is that you will have choices. Your courage to be vulnerable and simply show up no matter what may happen or if indeed, you will be able to control the outcome is something that will resonate for people everywhere.
How to leverage your fear as a form of energy?
We have all experienced situations where our nerves start to get the better of us. Your palms start to sweat, your stomach begins to tighten and that noise begins to get louder. These moments have been experienced by everyone and some people have allowed them to take control, whilst others have learnt the art of acknowledging them and then simply labelling them as "energy' and "noise".
Are you making yourself redundant?
In every business, the key to true leadership is about what you can do for others. Is making yourself redundant at top of mind when you engage with your staff, if not ask yourself why not?
The Pulse in Life
The pulse in life extends to business, but it is in the journey and the way in which we engage that will create the sparks to help drive you to the end. Whilst each journey may feel unique (and in some ways it is), there are more similarities than not.
Women in Leadership: Take Action, Be Committed, and Pay It Forward
Career reflection is powerful however the power rest more when they become shared experiences and being prepared to be authentic. Authenticity is a vital part of our life, it is what relationships are made of and it is also what differentiates good leaders from managers.
Leadership Boost & Strategic Change
Organisations and their leaders continue to be faced with the need to stay relevant in today’s changing environment. As such, those adept at navigating and successfully leading change will surge ahead.
Leadership and the Importance of Commitment
Commitment can at times be challenging as we all want things to be perfect before we commit and this is not possible. Part of our challenge occurs due to the fact that we attach emotion to this process so how much of that holds us back? How do we overcome this?
Going above and beyond vs simply doing our job
I was recently told by a previous employee of mine that they learnt compassion from me in the workplace. Interesting I thought, as my initial assumption was that it related to the staff (we were a close bunch) but as it stands it was about the way in which we engaged with our customers. Hmm, I thought as I asked why?
What diversity and inclusion mean for you
As a base, I suggest that diversity and inclusion extend beyond gender, culture, physical abilities, age, religious beliefs etc. To me, it is genuinely about having all walks of life share a voice in the journey, be it work, leisure, on the field or in any forum that brings people together and with that, is the acceptance of differences that are voiced.
