Expanding our consciousness, knowledge, and connections
“Who we are” changes daily but, are we making conscious choices on who we want to become?
At birth, we are hopeless and totally dependent on those around us. What we absorb and observe is within our micro cosmos, so we become the sum of those around us. Sponges of our familial universe. But, as we age, that ecosystem expands enabling us to become aware of differences whilst we still hold on tight to our familial beliefs and experiences.
These new experiences allow us to consider what we choose to bring forward with us as well as what we allow to influence and intrigue our minds and souls. The age of curiosity is heightened as we go through adolescence and perhaps earlier nowadays with the stimulation of social media and increased access to technology.
So, how is it that we appear to have more information at our fingertips, yet seemingly less is known?
Looking inward
I continue to look inward, as being introspective enables me to become more curious about my choices and to question the changes that I feel need to be made to serve me better, as well as my family, my community, and humanity as a whole.
Being acutely aware that change is constant and is centred from within, I pursue the continual search for wisdom which is innate for each of us as it was for our ancestors.
Curiosity and the ability to sit in the presence of others to better understand universal laws, practices, beliefs, and differences have expanded my awareness. With each experience, I have recognised the person I strive to become. I am challenged daily by what I hear, what I see, and what I learn.
When I sit in silence, it is the stillness that brings clarity, and that clarity leads to further inner work. Only in these moments do I ask myself what is truly important.
How can I, how can we, be so aware and yet be so unaware?
How can we break the cycle of what we have been led to believe is the only way to be and begin again with a new perspective of knowing that the way forward is through a collective?
The world can seem so large — which is why we seldom feel we can contribute as individuals to global issues — but is actually so integrated and small that one act from one person creates a ripple that reverberates on the other side of the planet.
As wise and conscious beings, we each have the ability and the choice to be present, to be still, and to be intentionally conscious. If only we stop the game of “chasing”.
I have had the privilege of strangers reaching out to me, seeking guidance, coaching, and advise. Often I find myself asking, "how do you know who I am?", but I now know that when we are open to being found and to finding ourselves, we begin to see and to hear what others fail to see and hear.
Being open to knowing more and being part of something bigger is part of the continual daily change, the perpetual growth.
I continue to be grateful for the amazing humans that cross my path and for those who now are part of my growing ecosystem.
It is why I genuinely bring people together, connecting them to one another, so that we not only expand our community globally, but our knowledge bank.
Knowledge becomes of value when shared.
Join me in my continual expansion of growth in consciousness, wisdom, and in expanding our connections.
